Questions, answered.
Everything people ask before they buy, and the things they ask in week one.
Using it
What’s in the box?
The Mireva Derma Booster Wand, a USB-C charging cable and a quick-start card. Nothing else to buy.
How long does a session take?
Five minutes per mode. The wand stops itself, so you never have to count.
Do I need a special gel?
No. The wand is tuned to work through your own skincare: a thin layer of any water-based serum, gel or your usual moisturiser is enough for the head to glide. The only mode that runs on clean, dry skin is Air Shot.
What order should I use the modes in, and how often?
Air Shot first, on clean dry skin, two or three times a week. Then your serum, and Booster to help it glide on. MC and Derma Shot glide over whatever is left. Booster, MC and Derma Shot can be daily, five minutes each; Air Shot stays at two or three times a week. Most people settle into one five-minute session most evenings.
How do I layer skincare across the modes?
A light serum or ampoule before Booster, then a richer cream or gel if you use one. Run MC and Derma Shot over what is already on the skin without adding more. If the head starts to drag, add a little.
Which mode do I start with?
MC, your everyday firming mode, for the first week while you learn the feel. Then add Booster on serum nights, Derma Shot for jawline and cheekbones, and Air Shot for pores.
Can I change the intensity?
Yes. Every mode has five levels. Start on level 1 for the thinner skin around the eyes, nose and mouth, and step up on cheeks and jaw as it feels right.
Can I use all four modes around the eyes?
Yes, on level 1, with your eyes closed. Work the orbital bone rather than the eyelid, and don’t point Air Shot directly at the eye.
Does it hurt?
It shouldn’t. MC feels like a gentle pulse, Derma Shot like mild warmth, Air Shot like a light tap. If anything stings, add a little more gel or drop a level.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the head with a soft, slightly damp cloth after each use and let it dry before it goes back in the box. Don’t submerge it or use alcohol on the LED window.
How long does the battery last?
A full charge takes about three hours over USB-C and gives you several weeks of five-minute sessions. Charge it from any standard USB adapter, anywhere in the world.
Results
What is each mode for?
Booster helps your serum glide on, for a dewy-looking glow. MC’s micro-current gives cheeks and jawline a firmer, more defined look. Derma Shot’s RF warmth adds definition along the jaw and cheekbones. Air Shot refines the look of pores and texture on the nose, chin and T-zone.
Which skin concerns is it for?
Dullness, loss of firmness and the look of pores and uneven texture. It works alongside your usual skincare, not instead of it. Cosmetic appearance only.
How soon will I notice a difference?
Most people notice fresher, smoother-feeling skin straight after a session. Give it four weeks of regular use to judge how your skin looks.
Is it a medical device?
No. It’s a cosmetic device for how skin looks and feels. It isn’t meant to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Results vary from person to person.
Safety
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
It starts gentle. Begin on level 1 and work up. Don’t use it if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, metal implants in the face, epilepsy or a heart condition, or on broken, irritated or sunburnt skin, active acne or a rash. If you have a skin condition or recent cosmetic injections, check with your doctor first. Cosmetic use only.
The LED seems very bright, even with my eyes closed. Is that normal?
Yes, it’s meant to be. It’s visible light above 400 nm, not UV. Keep your eyes closed around the eye area. If there is a lot of product on the head, the LED can light before it touches skin, so wipe off any excess and don’t look straight into it.
Can I use it with retinol, vitamin C or acids?
The light itself won’t affect your actives. But retinol and acids can make skin more reactive, so build up to the wand first, then bring your actives back in on level 1, and skip the wand on nights your skin feels irritated.
There are faint marks on the metal head. Is it faulty?
No. The head is steel and can pick up fine marks in manufacturing or cleaning, and the LED window is moulded plastic that can show light swirls. Neither affects how it works. Anything that does is covered by the warranty.
